Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth is a turn-based strategy game created by Sid Meier and Firaxis Games and released on October 24, 2014. Beyond Earth is not an expansion pack for Civilization V; it was released as a standalone game. It is said to be the spiritual successor to Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. Lead designer David McDonogh has even said 'For all the fans out there of Alpha. This was my first time installing Bootcamp with Windows 8.1. No more red/pink graphic in Beyond Earth but the game is extremely slow. It seems like Windows consider my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB, like a 256MB Vcard (!?!). In device manager, it's the good card name but it's says it's only a 256MB card. Set in the universe of Civilization: Beyond Earth after the age of the Seeding, Sid Meier’s Starships offers sci-fi/strategy fans a full stand-alone game experience that also features cross-connectivity with Beyond Earth, expanding the depth of both games.
