Apple are getting ready to release their latest version of macOS: 10.15 Catalina.
- GarageBand is a part of the iLife suite of applications. For recent Macs, two restore DVDs are packed with them: Disc 1 is for installing OS X. Disc 2 is for iLife. If you didn't buy a recent Mac, or you bought it second-hand, you probably don't have iLife.
- If you are using your Macbook, open your web browser and in the search box type “download GarageBand” and hit the return key. You’ll see “GarageBand in.
This Catalina update introduces a wealth of new and exciting features to the platform, however it also presents several large issues for users who record and produce music on their Mac.
General Consensus is to DEFINITELY NOT update to macOS 10.15 Catalina – that is, if you value the opinion of plugin and hardware developers like IK Multimedia, Blue Cat Audio, iZotope, Slate Digital, Native Instruments, ROLI and more.
